Constant bath composition
for galvanic coating
inconsistent plating results and subsequently to an increase in scrap.
This in turn brings about a rise in material and production costs.
In order to stabilize the constancy of bath compositions it is necessary
to carry out ongoing checks by means of precise analyses. Measurements
in laboratories are time and personnel intensive and only result in
unsatisfactory process documentation.
Maintenance processes for electrolytes are carried out manually,
discontinuously and mostly undocumented, thus fluctuations in
electrolyte compositions are inevitable. In keeping with our promise to
deliver the highest level of quality and perfection to our customers, we
developed the Automatic Bath Analysis and Control System, ABACS.
This system enables manual laboratory measurements to be substituted by
automatic online measurements.
The online analysis and dosing system that has been developed by CPA to
be used on an industrial level compactly connects your laboratory
directly with the production process. The closed, compact structure of
the system includes all of the hardware needed to supply and remove the
electrolytes, such as peristaltic pumps and valves, cleaning and
flushing devices, as well as all necessary reagent tanks.
It goes without saying that the system also comes with all appropriate
devices required for analyses to be performed, such as spectrometers and
automatic ion analyzers. Moreover, the electrical connection of the
dosing devices is integrated.
Example of application:
Brass plating plants for the production of high-quality steel cord and
saw wire.
